The Straight Viewfinder joins the previously released 45-degree Viewfinder unit.
Now, users requiring a large, bright and clear viewfinder image have the option of either a 45 degree angled viewfinder, or a straight viewfinder.
These high performance viewfinders are being increasingly fitted to some models of Nexus, Hugyfot, Seatool and Sea & Sea housings. In such cases the housing back must be modified to accept the Inon finders, except the newer Nexus models that are pre-drilled to fit the Inon finders. These finders are easily user interchangeable, enabling selection of appropriate viewfinder for different lenses, shooting conditions, styles & personal preferences. The 45 degree and Straight viewfinders are designed for cameras with APS-C image sensors and use anti-reflective multi-coated glass optics for high light transmission and a bright, clear viewfinder image. These viewfinders are not designed for cameras with full frame sized image sensors. Although the nexus Canon housing and finder works very well. These are high performance viewfinders that extends eyepoint without changing image size in viewfinder. 100% of camera’s finder image is seen (1.0x) without any vignetting, even underwater with a mask. Lens Construction: 3 groups, 5 elements.
The viewfinder is positioned in parallel with the camera’s finder so viewing replicates same natural eye position relative to camera as when shooting on land. Also, with the straight viewfinder it is possible to make fine distance adjustments between housing and subject by just moving housing relative to subject, without readjusting your body position each time, and without loosing sigh t of the subject in the viewfinder.
